Come On Barbie, Let's go Party | June 2023

Talk about rose-coloured goggles! With the immanent release of the much anticipated Barbie (2023) movie, the cerise-pink Barbie shade has infiltrated fashion from the top down. Dubbed 'Barbiecore', the official pink was on the runway with Valentino and has since made it's way down through the celebrity guest list. Says Style Caster, "Name your favorite celebrity. I’m serious, throw a name one out! There’s an excellent chance that they’ve worn Valentino’s Barbie pink in the last few months. Gigi Hadid, Florence Pugh, Conan Gray, Billy Porter, Anne Hathaway and Dua Lipa are amongst the fleet of celebrities embracing the high-fashion bimbo aesthetic."

Needless to say, the hot pink has made it's way into KiddieMajigs racks as well with a broad range of Barbie fashion, from winter dresses to tutus and even the iridescent Barbie mermaid dress up outfit.

Barbie(2023)trailer

The long anticipated Barbie movie, starring Ryan Gosling and Margot Robbie, amongst others, is set to hit the screens soon and will make for a fun evening out. Despite the subject matter, this film is more for the adults than the littles and with Greta Gerwig at the helm, is set to be an exciting take on the subject.

"Barbie represents the power of imagination and the belief that girls can do anything. She inspires them to reach for the stars and break through glass ceilings."

 - Lisa Guerrero, American investigative journalist.

Stay warm this month, and remember that inspiration can be found in the most unlikely of places!
